JOB DESCRIPTION

The mechanic-assembler is responsible for the installation, adjustment, and commissioning of prototypes and accessories on heavy machinery (tractors, excavators, and other specialized equipment). This role includes hydraulic connections, integration of electronic and mechanical components, as well as testing to ensure compatibility and proper functioning of systems.

MAIN FUNCTIONS

Planning and work preparation

- Analyze technical drawings, sketches, and prototype specifications.
- Plan and organize installation of hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems.
- Diagnose and resolve problems during installation (troubleshooting).
- Collaborate with engineering team to optimize installation methods.
- Develop installation kits for machines.

Installation and assembly

- Perform mechanical assembly of prototypes and accessories on heavy equipment.
- Carry out hydraulic connections and fittings.
- Install, test, and adjust electronic and electrical components (sensors, controls, modules).
- Verify alignment and adjustment of mechanical components.
- Conduct functional tests and required adjustments before delivery.
- Perform minor machining, welding, or modifications to parts if needed.

Equipment maintenance and follow-up

- Ensure performance and reliability of installed systems.
- Make adjustments or corrections following field tests.
- Document interventions and share information with relevant teams.
- Suggest improvements to the design and integration of accessories.

Health, safety, and quality

- Follow occupational health and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement processes.
- Perform any other related tasks.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

- Diploma in industrial mechanics, heavy equipment mechanics, or other relevant training.
- Experience in heavy machinery mechanics or a similar role [the internships are valid].
- Practical knowledge of hydraulics, electricity, and electronics applied to machinery.
- Ability to read technical drawings and perform mechanical diagnostics.
- Analytical skills and rigor in task planning.
- Teamwork and effective communication with other departments.
- Punctual, detail-oriented, and autonomous.
- High availability according to project needs.
