Our growth is strong, structured and sustainable. To support our expansion across North America, we are creating a key strategic sales role.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced, autonomous and results‑driven Sales & Business Development Representative to actively grow our B2B footprint across high‑potential markets.
This role is ideal for a seasoned industrial sales professional who thrives in the field, builds long‑term business relationships and excels at closing value‑based solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively develop new B2B clients within the assigned territory (GTA, Niagara, Northeastern U.S.);
- Build and expand a strong network of manufacturers, distributors and business partners;
- Identify, qualify and convert prospects into tangible revenue opportunities;
- Grow existing accounts organically by introducing new products and solutions;
- Plan, structure and manage the business development territory autonomously;
- Conduct in‑person sales and representation activities with current and prospective clients;
- Execute prospecting activities (field visits, cold calls, networking events, trade shows);
- Analyze client needs and establish customer usage profiles aligned with our offerings;
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (sales, production, management);
- Contribute to market development strategies and sales initiatives;
- Ensure a high level of customer service, including post‑sale follow‑up;
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of products, markets and industry trends;
- Prepare sales reports, activity summaries and expense reports;
- Coordinate sales follow‑up with the production department;
- Close sales upon verbal and/or written client agreement;
- Represent Cotech at industry events, training sessions and trade shows.
Required Qualifications
- College diploma in a relevant field;
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in B2B business development, ideally in an industrial or manufacturing environment;
- Strong field sales and negotiation experience;
- Solid understanding of manufacturing operations;
- Proven strengths in prospecting, relationship building and closing;
- Proficiency with Office 365 and standard business tools;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to manage pressure, priorities and a large sales territory;
- Willingness to travel frequently (role primarily on the road);
- Fluency in both English and French is required.
Assets
- Experience in heavy equipment manufacturing;
- Knowledge of the agriculture, construction or snow removal sectors;
- Existing business network in Ontario and/or the Northeastern U.S.
